Grim Trials officially confirms seven major “sacrilegious” bosses / Sinful Souls in the full game. The public demo includes one boss fight in the first biome, but a complete seven-boss name list is not yet being published here because names and strategies should be verified in the release build rather than inferred from screenshots.

How many bosses are in Grim Trials?
The official Steam description says the Trial Grounds contain seven sacrilegious bosses. The game’s story frames these boss encounters as part of Avelin’s path to becoming a full-fledged Reaper. A developer reply also says Avelin’s personality changes as she defeats each sinful boss, linking boss progression to her coming-of-age story rather than treating bosses as disconnected arena fights.
The demo boss: confirmed mechanics
The Steam demo page confirms one “powerful bossfight” in the first biome. A developer discussion about that first boss references two specific attack categories: a projectile attack that sends many bullets from the middle of the arena and a circular ground attack that follows the player.
Safe boss-fight habits for new players
- Read the floor before committing to a long melee sequence. Tracking ground attacks can punish staying in one place.
- Keep the crossbow active when melee space collapses. The dual-weapon design gives you a way to keep contributing while avoiding unsafe proximity.
- Do not tunnel on the health bar. Boss projectiles and arena hazards can overlap; survival often depends on reading the next pattern instead of forcing one extra hit.
- Bring a coherent build, not random bonuses. Crafted gear and starting skills should already work together before Blessings add mid-run power.
- Use consumables and crafted preparation if the encounter demands it. Grim Trials includes craftable consumables specifically as part of its progression system.
